Butterflies

Reagan is absolutely terrified of storms and the thunder and lightening that accompany them. So this morning she was stuck to me like glue. Of course we were running behind this morning because little sister decided to be awake from 1:00 until 4:30 and my hiney was dragging. On days like this we run by the donut shop for pigs-in-a-blanket and this morning was no exception. Reagan always gets two (2) small plain pigs and I get the jalapeno pig and a diet coke to share. After I took Henlee in to Bobba's I came back out and asked Reagan if she had finished her pigs and she said,"No, Momma, I have butterflies in my tummy and they are making me full."

Easter 2009

Finally, some Easter pictures. Henlee doesn't allow me to sit at the computer much anymore unless she gets to put in her two cents worth.

We had an absolute fabulous Easter weekend at my sister's. We used to spend all of our time shopping when we went to Weatherford but now we spend all of our time in her backyard and only leave if we absolutely have to - like to get our nails or toes done.

On Saturday, Reagan and the neighbor girls played all day and that afternoon we hunted eggs in Lisa's backyard (and pool) and then we hunted eggs in the neighbor's yard. It was my ingenuity that decided the girls had to jump in the pool to hunt a few of the eggs. Needless to say, they never once hesitated.

That night we had the neighbors over for steaks and all the fixings. It was wonderful.

Henlee just loves the neighbor girl. Of course the neighbor girl does whatever Henlee wants to do. So why would she complain?
I love this picture of Rylee and Henlee. Henlee likes Rylee alot too, as you can see.

This is the egg hunt at the neighbor's yard. See the gate that goes between Lisa's and their yard? I think this is way cool. The kids go back and forth all the time. If Reagan doesn't like what we are having, she goes to their house.
Hunting Easter eggs was tiring and the girls needed a little hot tub time.

Sunday morning we all went to Church and then came home for Momo's Easter lunch - another wonderful meal. Of course, we had to take family pictures in all our Sunday's finest. Two of my most favoritest people.

Henlee: "I just want my Mom. Now give me back."
She kind of had a little attitud going on.

Swim time again!

I love my family. Nuff said.

Let's Go Racing Boys

In only two days, my alter ego will appear. I will no longer be the doting Mother of two beautiful girls, the devoted wife, the loving daughter, or the ever-capable secretary, I become Nascar Nelly. Oh yea baby! I get all my racing gear (headsets, cooler, driver logo apparel, beverages) and head to Texas Motor Speedway for the weekend.

We will meet Vance and Amy up there Friday morning, set up camp, and head to the track. That afternoon my sister and her husband are coming over unless Lisa can talk her principal into letting the Teacher of the Year at Juan Seguin off a little early so she can come on over. (Please Mrs. Kathy let Lisa come over. I promise not to let her do anything I do.) Friday night after qualifying, Pat Green is in concert and then we will head to camp for a post-qualifying, post concert party. Saturday morning we will stagger around and head to the tract around 11:00 for the Nationwide race and then back to camp to start the Pre-race party for Sunday. Unfortunately, or fortunately whichever way you choose to look at it, DW and I will have to come back early Sunday morning for our niece's Confirmation and miss the big Sunday race. I sure hope you can handle it without me Vance, Amy, Lisa, and Lee.
I am sure that Vance the photographer will take plenty of pictures that I will share with you next week.
